Sandra and Dirk Hoferer presented a donation check for 10,000 euros to the Support Association for Children with Cancer in Freiburg. For 25 years, Treyer Paletten has refrained from giving Christmas gifts to its customers, instead regularly supporting the association with generous donations.
The vision of the support association is to improve the chances of recovery for critically ill children and to support their families during the most challenging times of their lives.
This year, the association was able to open the newly built parent house directly next to the new children's hospital in Freiburg. It represents the association's largest project to date.
The 45 rooms and apartments in the parent house provide around 28,000 overnight stays annually for approximately 1,200 families. For these families, the house becomes a second home for an indefinite period.
In addition, the association supports research at the university children's hospital, which has made it possible for more than 80 percent of affected children to recover today
